Strengthening DC’s Workforce Ecosystem Through the Connector Series

On December 18th, we hosted our third Connector Series convening — bringing together employer leaders, workforce providers, and public-sector partners to strengthen collaboration across DC’s workforce ecosystem.

The Connector Series was created in response to what we kept hearing from the field: professionals were looking for more opportunities to connect in person — to meet peers doing similar work and build relationships with related organizations across the workforce landscape.

Our December convening reflected that purpose. We were honored to have Dr. Unique Morris-Hughes from the DC Department of Employment Services join us and engage the group in an impromptu Q&A session.

The conversation centered on the future direction of DC’s workforce strategy, what’s been happening at DOES, and Dr. Morris-Hughes’ perspectives on current priorities and where the system is headed. Attendees brought thoughtful questions, and the exchange was candid, practical, and timely.

We are excited to continue building momentum.

Our next Connector Series convening will take place on March 19th. Please be sure to join us — and invite others in your network who would value connecting with peers and partners across DC’s workforce ecosystem.
